Salalah Historical and Shopping Tour

Tour of Salalah, a city where rich culture and heritage are intertwined with historical monuments, bustling markets and modern stores. After hotel pick-up, visit the Sultan Qaboos Mosque – the largest mosque in Dhofar, an example of modern Islamic architecture (appropriate attire is required: women should wear loose clothing  covering their arms and legs and a headscarf, while men should wear long pants). Then visit and free time at the Haffa Souq market, where you can find traditional clothes, Omani perfumes and incense from the Dhofar region among the many stalls. Nerby, at Al Haffa beach, there are fruit shacks offering fresh tropical fruits, including local bananas and coconut water served straight from the nut, and walking along the beach admiring papaya farms, coconut and banana trees. Next on the agenda is the Gold Souq, where you can buy elegant jewelry, and purchase a traditional Omani dessert at the nearby Omani Halwa pastry shop. Finally, visit the Salalah Grand Mall, offering a wide selection of clothing, perfumes, souvenirs and other products. Return to the hotels.
