Program Description

Tetouan is a fascinating city in northern Morocco, where Andalusian heritage meets authentic local culture. Here, Spanish influences blend seamlessly with authentic Moroccan culture, creating a distinctive atmosphere.

The journey begins with a transfer to the port of Algeciras, followed by a ferry crossing to Ceuta (approx. 45 minutes). After crossing the border into Morocco, you will travel towards Tetouan - a city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its rich history and traditional architecture. During a walking tour, you will discover the city’s highlights, including Hassan II Square and the Royal Palace (from the outside). You will also explore the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah). The true highlight is the medina of Tetouan, a maze of narrow streets filled with local shops and traditional craftsmanship. Around midday, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant accompanied by live Berber music, offering a deeper insight into the region’s culture and flavours. After lunch, you will visit a traditional Berber pharmacy, where you will learn about natural herbs, spices and local products. This is also a great opportunity to purchase items such as argan oil and Moroccan spices.

At the end of the day, you will return to Ceuta and take the ferry back to Algeciras.

The worst tour I`ve ever been on. I`m not talking about the guide, because she was very interesting, but about the fact that we were shown the rich side of the city, and then we walked throu...
